NZ trip 2014 - Day 20 National Park Village - Tongariro Alpine Crossing

Today will be a day that waited for very long time, keep praying for a good day. The Tongariro Alpine Crossing in Winter. Everyone advice to have a guide when do the crossing in winter. Cause weather changing extremely fast there.

We getting Adventure Outdoors Tongariro NZ for the guide service. They will include transport, and all the equipment needed.

The shuttle bus pick us up very early in the morning, around 7AM.

We start at Pukeonake car park and end at Ketetahi Road car park.

Where Journey Start, this crossing will need around 8 hours for 10KM.

Shortcut to Lunch area, so we can go ahead big guide tour group. But actually without training before and as Asian (shorted leg), we unable to catch up with western people.

The most tired day, extremely tired, leg extremely pain. Regrad do not train before do the crossing. World most easy Alpine crossing do not mean it easy. Specially in winter.
